A recent patent filed by Microsoft might change the whole crypto mining structure entirely if it is realized. According to TechRadar, the patent, cryptocurrencies would be mined based on human activities. A sensor in the human body will record and transmit data such as brain activities, blood flow and movement to a server once certain tasks has been performed based on the requirement. For example, the function would then allow you to be paid once you have completed a task such as watching an online advertisement.

Hitcachi’s Ethereum-based Commercial Solutions Expands Further

Hitachi has collaborated with ConsenSys to further develop its blockchain-based commercial solutions. Their Japanese clients now can choose solutions built on PegaSys – running on public Ethereum blockchain and private versions of it. Although the main focus in on Japan, its domestic market, Hitcahi Solutions – Hitachi’s integration, consulting and core IT arm, will be the global reseller/distributor of PegaSys Plus. Clients can apply it on various areas such as financial services, healthcare, supply chains, logistics and retail.

Ripple Plans to Enhance XRP Ledger’s Privacy

Ripple (XRP) developer, Nik Bougalis revealed that there are plans to enhance the privacy on XRP Ledger. This will be achieved by scrambling source and destination tags cryptographically. As these tags are used on crypto addresses and trace a transaction’s recipient, the new plan aims to make it harder for unscrupulous parties to easily identify and connect transactions using these tags. The changes are said to not considerably affect the scalability of the ledger.

According to a report by Coin Telegraph, Tron have secured a partnership with Refereum which will start to use Tron’s TRX coin and BitTorent’s BTT token as method of payment for its video game streaming. Refereum is well-known as a blockchain-based platform that rewards users for video game engagement and streaming. Their CEO Dylan Jones mentioned that they hope this partnership will incentivize more people to stay at home and stop the spreading of COVID-19, as they can get compensated for watching game streams.

Bitcoin ATM Finally in Nigeria

Insidebitcoins reported that the first ever Bitcoin ATM was recently launched in the largest country in Africa, Nigeria. While it’s not the first in the continent as there are 14 other Bitcoin ATMs before this, it still indicates a step forward for crypto with 30 more planned across the country. Blockstale BTM installed the ATM at Dazey Lounge and Bar in the state of Lagos and their founder, Daniel Adekunle, recently mentioned that the country has the highest number of crypto traders in the African continent despite the legal uncertainties surrounding it.
